Book your Sunbury clean
List everything you’d like done — seats, chairs, curtained windows, mattresses. One combined price.
Living further out changes the maths
In an inner suburb it doesn’t much matter whether you clean the couch in March and the mattresses in September — a cleaner is ten minutes away either way. Out here, every booking is a trip, so splitting the work across the year means paying a minimum call-out several times over for jobs that could have shared one.
Booking everything together is simply cheaper. The per-seat rate improves as the seat count rises, and one visit covering the lounge, the dining chairs, the curtains and the beds costs meaningfully less than the same work spread over three appointments. It’s also less disruption — one afternoon rather than three.
What usually goes in the one visit
Most Sunbury bookings cover at least three of these.
Sofas, modulars and recliners at $40 a seat, plus the dining chairs almost nobody thinks to include.
Nothing taken down, no shrinkage. Dry-season dust hits them harder out here than anywhere.
Steam clean plus anti-dust-mite treatment, dry the same night. Easy to add while we’re already there.
Work clothes and the good couch
On semi-rural blocks there’s usually outdoor work of some kind — the yard, the shed, animals, the garden — and people sit down in whatever they were wearing. That transfers fine dust and outdoor grime straight into the fabric, and because it’s spread evenly by everyday use rather than dropped in one spot, it darkens the whole seat instead of making an obvious mark.
There’s a quick way to see how far it’s gone: lift a cushion and compare the fabric underneath to the surface beside it. That protected fabric is roughly the original colour, and the difference is soil rather than wear — which means it comes out.

Couch & upholstery cleaning Sunbury — FAQs
Do you travel out to Sunbury and rural blocks?
Yes, regularly, and at the same rates as the inner suburbs – there is no travel surcharge. We also cover Diggers Rest, Bulla, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Wildwood and Clarkefield, including acreage properties.
Is it cheaper to book everything at once?
Yes, and noticeably so out here. Every booking is a trip, so splitting the work across the year means paying a minimum call-out several times over for jobs that could have shared one. The per-seat rate also improves as the seat count rises, so lounge, dining chairs, curtains and mattresses together costs meaningfully less than three separate appointments.
How much does couch cleaning cost in Sunbury?
Upholstery is $40 per seat with a minimum call-out of $120. A three-seat sofa is priced as three seats, and modulars are priced by the seat however they are arranged. Recliners, dining chairs, ottomans and fabric bed heads are quoted the same simple way.
Why does the couch look darker overall rather than stained?
Because on a semi-rural block the soil arrives spread out rather than dropped in one spot. Outdoor work clothes transfer fine dust and grime into the fabric with everyday use, so it darkens the whole seat evenly instead of making an obvious mark. Lift a cushion and compare it to the surface beside it – the protected fabric is roughly the original colour.
Do you have to take curtains down to clean them?
No, in most cases we clean them on the rod – no unhooking, no ladder, no rehanging and no shrinkage risk. Shrinkage happens in home washing machines because the lining and the face fabric shrink at different rates.
Is it safe to clean upholstery myself?
It is riskier than carpet. Check the tag for the cleaning code first: W is water-safe, S is solvent only, WS is either, X is vacuum only. Water on an S-coded fabric leaves a permanent ring, and because upholstery is fabric over foam, over-wetting soaks the foam and takes days to dry.
How long until we can use everything again?
Usually 2 to 4 hours. We use controlled moisture so the foam is not soaked, and mattresses are dry the same night.
