Do you have to take curtains down?
No, in most cases we clean them on the rod – no unhooking, no ladder, no rehanging and no shrinkage risk. Shrinkage happens in home washing machines because the lining and the face fabric shrink at different rates.
What about sand and salt from the beach?
Both are handled in the same visit. Sand is abrasive and cuts fibre from inside the seams, so flushing it out is protective rather than cosmetic. Salt holds humidity in the weave, which is what makes fabric feel faintly damp – it dissolves and extracts out.
